How TracMetrics started
It started with a simple observation.
Most of the tools traders use every day are built for watching the market and tracking P&L. Very little helps you look back at your own decisions and understand why a trade worked, or why it failed.
That matters, because the same pattern keeps repeating.
A trader sees a move already happening and thinks, “It’s going up, so I’m in.” There is no clear plan for where the trade is wrong, so the stop-loss goes wherever feels comfortable. The trade gets stopped out, and then the market turns and makes the exact move the trader expected in the first place. If you have traded for a while, you have probably been there.
The problem is not always the market or the strategy. Often it is not having a clear record of the decisions you made.
So we set out to build more than a place to log trades. We wanted a journal where every entry, stop-loss, exit and setup becomes something you can look back on and learn from.
