Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This policy explains what information TracMetrics collects when you use our trading journal and analytics platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have. TracMetrics is a record-keeping and analytics tool for traders across NSE equity, F&O, MCX and crypto markets, it is not a broker, and it does not hold or move your money.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is needed to run your account and the journal:

  • Account details: name, email, mobile number, and your password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
  • Trading data you enter: trades, notes, strategies, tags, screenshots, and journal entries you choose to record.
  • Imported data: broker statements you upload for import, and any account/portfolio labels you create.
  • Billing information: your subscription plan and payment status. Card and UPI details are handled directly by our payment gateway; we never see or store full card numbers.
  • Usage and device data: sign-in activity, session device/browser information, and basic diagnostic logs used to keep the service reliable and secure.
  • Feedback you choose to send: your rating, an optional message, and the page you were on, if you answer the in-app feedback prompt.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used only to operate the service you signed up for:

  • To create and maintain your account and workspace.
  • To generate your journal, analytics, calendar and reports from the trades you log.
  • To process your subscription and send billing-related emails.
  • To provide support when you reach out, including viewing the specific issue you report.
  • To write the coaching commentary on your AI Insight page, only when you choose to generate a report (see section 7).
  • To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access to accounts.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers located in India, with the exceptions described in sections 6 and 7 (payments, email delivery and AI Insight). Every workspace is isolated at the database layer, so one account can never query another account’s data. Passwords are hashed, sessions are limited to a maximum of 3 signed-in devices at a time, and two-factor authentication is available from Settings for anyone who wants an extra layer of protection.

5. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser storage items. Essential ones are always on because the site cannot work without them. Analytics runs only if you allow it in the cookie banner, and only on our public website and sign-up pages, never inside your journal. You can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” at the foot of the website.

Google Analytics tells us which pages people visit and how they found us (for example a search or a campaign link), as aggregated statistics. We send it the page address without any personal details, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies; if we add a marketing tool in future, it will stay off unless you turn on “Marketing” in your cookie choices.

6. Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your data. We share information only with:

  • Infrastructure and hosting providers that run the service.
  • Dodo Payments, our payment partner and merchant of record, which processes subscription payments, applies taxes and issues invoices. It receives your name, email and billing details for that purpose and may process them outside India.
  • Resend, our email delivery provider, which sends account and billing emails such as email verification and password reset messages. It receives your email address and the content of those messages, and stores them in the United States for a limited period.
  • Groq, our AI service provider, only when you generate an AI Insight report, and only the limited data described in section 7. It does not keep that data or train on it.
  • Google Analytics (Google LLC), only if you allow Analytics in the cookie banner: page visit statistics from our public website, which Google may process outside India (see section 5).
  • Authorities, only where required by law.

7. AI Insight

AI Insight is optional. Nothing is sent to an AI provider unless you press the button to generate a report. When you do, we send a limited set of information to our third-party AI provider, Groq, which processes it on servers in the United States, so that it can write the commentary. Groq does not store the request or the answer, and does not use them to train AI models. We send:

  • Statistics we calculate from your closed trades, such as win rate, scores, grades and risk figures.
  • The names of the strategies, setups and mistake labels you created, and which weekdays, sessions and holding periods performed best.
  • One example trade: its symbol, direction, profit or loss, and closing date.
  • A short history of your daily mood ratings and routine adherence, as numbers.

We do not send your name, email, mobile number, account numbers, journal notes, screenshots or any other free text you wrote. Because the labels above are typed by you, please avoid putting personal details in them. AI commentary can be wrong and is not investment advice. Reports are limited to a small number per week.

8. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Certain financial records, such as invoices and payment history, are retained in append-only, audited storage for as long as required by applicable law, even after account deletion.

9. Your Rights

From the Privacy tab in Settings you can export a full copy of your data at any time, or request deletion of your account. Deletion runs automatically after a 14-day grace period, during which you can cancel the request by signing back in. Financial records that must be retained by law are anonymised rather than deleted outright.

10. Children’s Privacy

TracMetrics is intended for adults who trade in financial markets. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18 years of age.

11. International Users

TracMetrics is built primarily for traders in Indian markets, and your data is stored in India. If you access the service from outside India, you do so understanding that your information will be processed and stored in India, except for the limited AI Insight data described in section 7.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. If a change is material, we will let you know in-app or by email before it takes effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
